Ali has been casting for films, TV, and commercials for over 20 years, working closely with directors and casting both established actors and searching for new emerging talent. Ali relishes a tricky brief, and casts for many of the best production companies and directors in the UK and abroad on award winning work.

ANNA KENNEDY

Anna has over 20 years’ experience in the casting industry and worked in some of the busiest casting offices before setting up on her own in 2005, forging an exciting and varied career in Film, TV and commercials. Recent credits include the award winning video game THE PIRATE QUEEN, BOOK OF LOVE starring Sam Claflin and AMULET starring Imelda Staunton, which premiered at Sundance. She has worked with Netflix, HBO, Sky and Universal and is cast the ITV drama WITHOUT SIN. She has just cast KILL produced by Claire Mundell for Creative Scotland and distributed by CAA Media Finance. She is represented by 42 Management & Production.

CAMILLA ARTHUR CASTING

This is Camilla Arthur Casting’s 30th year in operation and we’re as enthusiastic about Casting today as we were in 1992. Our preferred genre has been and always will be street casting as there’s no feeling better than telling someone with financial worries that they’ve been confirmed for one day at a fee of £10k!

CBA CASTING

CBA specialise in creative casting, whether that’s thinking outside the box in terms of looks, gender or ethnicity, or just redefining what it means to be a casting director. We don’t like rules.

CHRIS SNODE

Nominated for: Best Casting of a Feature Film & Drama

Chris, being a former Olympic & World Champion diver, specialises in sport, acrobatics and stunt castings or castings that have an element of danger in the brief. For 30 years he has enjoyed setting up “action” casting where the director / client sees candidate proving their skills required for those “tricky” shoots. He casts across the World from Sumo in Japan to trick skiing high in the mountains or finding obscure one handed head balancers that can skate across frozen lakes.

He is supported by a dedicated loyal team, who have been behind him for many many years. He says “what an eye-watering rewarding job he has”.

EMMA ASHTON

Emma Ashton is a London based casting director who has been casting commercials, films and photography since 1996. She has been involved in many award winning projects and herself has received awards for best casting from the Inaugural CDA awards in the Online commercial category in 2018, nominated in 2019 for best casting in the Feature Film category and in the International Commercial category in 2020.

ET CASTING

ET Casting are Casting Directors – Emily Tilelli and Zita Zutic Konak and Casting Assistant – Morgan Miller, as well as an exceptional team of freelance researchers who support them regularly. ET cast for film and commercials and the team are known for their fearless street casting, performance driven traditional casting and their diverse casting within advertising. Their work has been featured in many international festivals such as Cannes Lions, British International Film Festival, Raindance, Palm Springs, Sundance and BAFTA. ET Casting are winners of four CDA Awards to date.

HANNAH BIRKETT

Hannah has been casting for over 20 years. Throughout that time, she has worked on an array of award-winning projects, from commercials to feature films. Hannah enjoys challenging briefs and adapts easily to the ever-changing demands of the casting industry, encouraging new talent and supporting inclusive casting.

HANNAH SIMONS

Hannah has over 15 year’s experience in Film and Television, starting her career as a script supervisor on feature films before moving into commercial casting. Working in both traditional and street casting, she has a developed a keen eye for spotting talent. She has worked on award winning commercials and music videos and her credits include much loved campaigns for Cadbury’s and several of the Haribo series.

JODY FURLONG

Founded by Jody Furlong in 2006, The Eye Casting specialises in casting models, characters and ‘real’ people for photographic and advertising jobs. Casting for both high fashion high street clients such as Louis Vuitton, Tom Ford, Rankin, Zalando and Jigsaw.

KATE & LOU + RO CASTING

Kate and Lou have been casting for too long to remember… Ro joined the family 5 years and is an awesome CD in her own right. The fact that they are still here and making a living from this game must mean they are doing something right. The main thing is they are family, who support one another as women and as mothers doing their best for their families. Oh and they also love being part of creating cool stuff.. and they laugh…. they laugh a hell of a lot!!!

Kharmel first cut her cast teeth as a Casting Director on the acclaimed Daniel Wolfe music video ‘Time to Dance’ starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Callum Turner. She followed up with award winning films such as Lilting (2014) and the Bafta award winning Home (2016).

Over the past 11 years, she has earned a reputation for championing new and diverse talent and projects like The Witch (2015), The End of the F**king World (2017) and The Lighthouse (2019) firmly cement her position as one of the most exciting British Casting Directors working today.

Best Casting of a Short Film

Nikki Meadows specialises in casting factual drama for TV and short films and commercials. She cast the BAFTA winning Suffragettes with Lucy Worsley for BBC1 and most recently the short Ballad of Olive Morris which won best short film when it premiered at Windrush Festival in July. She came to casting after a long career in the music industry as a music manager and continues to manage the jazz musician Courtney Pine who she has worked with for 25 years. She is a member of the CDA, CDG and a voting member of BAFTA.

PEARSON CASTING

Award-winning casting directors, Pearson Casting, are made up of husband and wife team James and Rosie. They work mostly in musicals, plays and film with offices in Liverpool, London and New York. In 2020 they launched Collective Creative Initiative, a free platform for actors to support their training and mental health through lockdown. They are strong advocates for improved mental health in the industry and are fierce champions of inclusivity and diversity in the arts.

SALLY MCCLEERY

Sally accidentally stumbled into casting about a decade ago, and soon realised that all the eclectic skills she had gathered so far in life could be of some use here. She now divides her time between running her own commercials business, and working as an associate for TV and film projects with the likes of Rachel Freck, Kahleen Crawford & Robert Sterne.

Sue Odell has been a casting director specialising in stills advertising, commercials and short films for a very long time. She particularly enjoys taking on ‘real-life’ gritty projects involving diverse subjects including a number of LGBTQ+ films and jobs involving people from ethnic backgrounds. She’s incredibly lucky to have worked with some iconic photographers over the years and along the way, usually through her very frequent theatre trips (often to fringe productions and showcases), has discovered some wonderfully talented actors.
